Do I have to use the UPI ID linked to my primary bank account to place an IPO application through Geojit?
It is not mandatory. However, the following conditions must be fulfilled:
1. The bank must be a SEBI-certified Self Certified Syndicate Bank (SCSB). View the list of eligible banks.
2. The PAN used in the demat account and the bank account must be the same.
You cannot use the UPI ID of a friend or family member of which you are not an account holder.
