What does 'suspension of trading' in a stock mean?
The exchanges suspend trading in a stock for non-compliance/disregard of enforced rules and regulations.
Once a stock is suspended, it cannot be traded on the exchange and, as a result, will not be shown in your SELFIE / FLIP/ TraderX holdings. However, you will be able to view them under your Demat account holdings on MyGeojit.
The suspension will be revoked and shares will resume trading on the market when the company meets the requirements stipulated by the exchange. If the company shuts down instead, your holdings will be written off as a loss.
