Why am I unable to view shares bought as part of an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) in my portfolio?
ESOPs (Employee Stock Option Plan) are a system under which employees of a company are given rights to acquire shares of the company at a discounted rate/for free.
Shares bought through ESOPs may have a lock-in period during which you will not be allowed to sell them. For this reason, these holdings will not be shown on SELFIE / FLIP/ TraderX. However, they will be present in your demat account, and can be viewed on MyGeojit > Log in and select Equity under Holdings.
