How do I set up biometric as 2FA in my account?
As per the new exchange compliance regulations, it is mandatory to set 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) up in your account by 30 September 2022. 2FA adds an extra layer of protection in addition to your account password and can be either:
- TOTP
- SMS/email-based OTP
- Biometric (on mobile phones)
From 1 October 2022, you will not be able to access our trading platforms without having one of the above enabled in your account.
Biometric 2FA can be used to access your trading account on a mobile phone and includes fingerprint/face ID.
Please ensure that you add your fingerprint/face ID to your mobile device before enabling the option on FLIP Mobile.
To set up your FLIP Mobile Biometric:
Step 1. Log in to FLIP Mobile
Step 2. Locate and navigate to the More tab. Then go to the Settings page and click on the Security option.
Step 3. Switch on the Touch ID/Face ID toggle > Verify
Biometric 2FA will be applicable from the next log in.
* Henceforth, to log into FLIP/ TraderX, you will be required to enter the OTP/TOTP, or use biometric.
* Mobile users are recommended to use biometric as 2FA for quick access.
* Biometric 2FA cannot be used by clients who access multiple accounts on a single mobile device.
