What is a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP)?

A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is a facility offered by mutual funds to facilitate systematic and disciplined investing. It allows individuals to invest a fixed amount of money in a mutual fund scheme monthly. This mode of investment proves to be beneficial in the long-term as a result of averaged costs and the power of compounding.
