How do I start an SIP in a Smartfolios basket?
Step 1. Log in to Smartfolios and choose the SIP basket you wish to invest in by clicking on the Invest Now button.
Step 2. Click on the Invest button after reviewing the theme of the basket shown and sector allocation.
Step 3. Provide the below details:
• Trigger Date: Select preferred trigger date
• Investment Amount: The minimum SIP amount itself will be prefilled
• Frequency: Frequency of trigger, i.e., whether weekly or monthly. If "Weekly" is selected, the weekday of the selected "Trigger Date" will be used as the day of the trigger.
• Period: Preferred number of installments
• Payment Type: Ledger or NACH. Debits are actually always from the trading account ledger only. If NACH is selected, funds are debited from investors' bank accounts and credited to the trading account ledger two days before the trigger date.
Step 4. Click on the Confirm Investment button and OK in the next confirmation pop-up.
If the selected trigger date falls on the date of registration, then the first installment will be sent on the same day if registered during market hours. Else, it will be from the selected trigger date onwards.
For NACH-based SIPs, the first NACH collection will be sent only for trigger dates falling at atleast 5 days from registration day.
