Can I opt to invest systematically in Smartfolios?
Yes, some of our baskets can be invested through the SIP route. This may help to average acquisition costs in a volatile market. SIPs can be scheduled as either weekly or monthly, with payment options of Ledger and NACH.
You can also create your own Equity SIPs of securities of your preference based on weightage or fixed quantity for each scrip. Please refer to the article "Can I create my own Smartfolio? How?" for demo.
For SIPs with NACH payment modes, funds will be debited from investors bank account two days prior and credited to the trading account's ledger balance. The NACH debit request or the SIP value amount will be based on the previous day's closing prices plus a 10% addition to account for market volatility. In case of failure of NACH debit, you can manually transfer funds to your trading account before market opening on trigger day to avoid rejections. However, execution may happen based on available buying power in the trading account as a clear ledger balance or margin against pledged holdings.
